Create Webhook
wufoo.create_webhook
ActionBusiness appsconnection required
Calls the Wufoo API with the connection's credentials.
Add a webhook so Wufoo posts every new entry on a form to a URL, which is how a Mantle webhook trigger receives them.
Connection
- Required
- Yes — the node will not save without one
- Auth type
- Username & password
- Providers
- Wufoo
- Secret shape
- {"api_key": "…"} — the 16-character Wufoo API key
- Config it needs
- subdomain, base_url
- Resolved by
- config.connection_id, else node.connection_id
Configuration
4 fields, 2 required. A dotted path is a nested object and name[] an array of objects — the editor renders the same tree.
| Field | Type | Required | Default | Constraints | Example |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
form_identifier The Wufoo form to act on, given as its permanent hash or its title. | string | Yes | — | — | s1afea8b1vk0jf7 |
url The endpoint Wufoo posts each new entry to. | string | Yes | — | url format | https://hooks.example.com/wufoo |
handshake_key A shared value Wufoo includes in every POST so the receiver can ignore unwanted ones; supply it from a workflow variable rather than typing it into the node. | string | No | — | — | shared-handshake-value |
metadata Include the form and field structure in every POST, which some receivers need in order to name the values. | boolean | No | false | — | — |
Example configuration
Every value below is the contract’s own example or default — nothing invented.
{
"form_identifier": "s1afea8b1vk0jf7",
"handshake_key": "shared-handshake-value",
"metadata": false,
"url": "https://hooks.example.com/wufoo"
}Output
One shape.
result
| Field | Type | Example |
|---|---|---|
hash The webhook's hash, needed to delete it later. | string | — |
url The endpoint Wufoo will post to. | string | — |
form_identifier The form the webhook was added to. | string | — |
{
"form_identifier": "",
"hash": "",
"url": ""
}Notes
- Wufoo allows one webhook per URL per form and the call is idempotent: repeating it with the same URL updates that webhook instead of adding a second one.
- The returned hash is the only handle on the webhook — Wufoo has no endpoint that lists them — so store it if you will ever delete it.
See Create Webhook run in a workflow.
In a technical demo we add the Wufoo connection, drop the node on the canvas and let Workflow Health pre-flight it before the first real run.
