Send Email Batch

postmark.send_batch
ActionEmailconnection required

Calls the Postmark API with the connection's credentials.

Send up to 500 messages in one call. Each message is accepted or refused on its own, so the result reports both counts rather than one verdict.

Connection

Required
Yes — the node will not save without one
Auth type
API key

Postmark
Secret shape
the server API token, or {"server_token": "…"}
Config it needs
message_stream, from_address, base_url
Resolved by
config.connection_id, else node.connection_id

Configuration

1 field, 1 required. A dotted path is a nested object and name[] an array of objects — the editor renders the same tree.

FieldTypeRequiredDefaultConstraintsExample
messages
The messages to send, as a JSON array of Postmark message objects (From, To, Subject, HtmlBody/TextBody, and anything else the single send accepts). MessageStream is filled in from the connection when a message does not name one.
arrayYes—1–500 characters; array of object—

Output

One shape.

result

FieldTypeExample
results
One row per message in the batch, in the order they were sent.
array—
accepted_count
How many messages Postmark accepted.
number—
rejected_count
How many messages Postmark refused, each for its own reason.
number—
partial
True when the batch was part accepted and part refused — the case that must not be read as a plain success.
boolean—
message_ids
The Postmark MessageIDs of the accepted messages only.
array—
{
  "accepted_count": 0,
  "message_ids": [],
  "partial": false,
  "rejected_count": 0,
  "results": []
}

Notes

  • A refused message never fails the step: read 'partial' and the per-message error_code, or a batch where nine of ten were refused reads as a success.
  • Postmark's own limit is 500 messages and 50 MB per batch.

See Send Email Batch run in a workflow.

In a technical demo we add the Postmark connection, drop the node on the canvas and let Workflow Health pre-flight it before the first real run.
