Get Bin

postbin.get_bin
ActionBusiness appsconnection required

Calls the PostBin API with the connection's credentials.

Read a bin's metadata and check that it has not expired yet.

Connection

Required
Yes — the node will not save without one
Auth type
No auth
Providers
PostBin
Secret shape
no credential — PostBin's API is public; the connection is just a host
Config it needs
base_url
Resolved by
config.connection_id, else node.connection_id

Configuration

1 field, 1 required. A dotted path is a nested object and name[] an array of objects — the editor renders the same tree.

FieldTypeRequiredDefaultConstraintsExample
bin_id
The bin identifier PostBin issued, as postbin.create_bin returns it in 'bin_id'. Pass the bare id, not the full bin URL.
stringYes——1234567890123-1234567890123

Example configuration

Every value below is the contract’s own example or default — nothing invented.

{
  "bin_id": "1234567890123-1234567890123"
}

Output

One shape.

result

FieldTypeExample
bin_id
The bin's identifier, which every other PostBin node takes.
string—
url
The bin's collection URL — point the webhook or client under test at this.
string—
now
PostBin's current time as epoch milliseconds.
number—
expires
Epoch milliseconds at which the bin is discarded and every call on it 404s.
number—
{
  "bin_id": "",
  "expires": 0,
  "now": 0,
  "url": ""
}

Notes

  • A PostBin bin is discarded 30 minutes after it is created; every call on an expired bin answers 404 'No such bin'.

See Get Bin run in a workflow.

In a technical demo we add the PostBin connection, drop the node on the canvas and let Workflow Health pre-flight it before the first real run.
