Configuration

3 fields, 1 required. A dotted path is a nested object and name[] an array of objects — the editor renders the same tree.

FieldTypeRequiredDefaultConstraintsExample
identifier
The brand to look up, in the form the identifier type below expects: a domain like nike.com, a ticker like NKE, an ISIN like US6541061031, a crypto symbol like BTC, or — with 'auto' — any of those, a brand id or an email address whose domain is used.
stringYes——brandfetch.com
identifier_type
Which kind of identifier was given, so the request uses the route that says so. 'auto' uses Brandfetch's shorthand route, which detects the kind itself and is the only one that accepts an email address.
stringNodomainone of "domain", "ticker", "isin", "crypto", "auto"—
allow_nsfw
How to treat brands Brandfetch has flagged as not safe for work. 'default' returns the milder ones with isNsfw set and hides the rest, 'allow' returns them all, and 'exclude' answers 404 for every flagged brand.
stringNodefaultone of "default", "allow", "exclude"—

Example configuration

Every value below is the contract’s own example or default — nothing invented.

{
  "allow_nsfw": "default",
  "identifier": "brandfetch.com",
  "identifier_type": "domain"
}

Output

One shape.

Notes

  • Lookups for the domain brandfetch.com are free and never count against the key's quota, which makes it the identifier to test a connection with.
  • The first request for a brand nobody has asked for is crawled live and can take a few seconds.

See Get Brand run in a workflow.

In a technical demo we add the Brandfetch connection, drop the node on the canvas and let Workflow Health pre-flight it before the first real run.
