Configuration
3 fields, 1 required. A dotted path is a nested object and name[] an array of objects — the editor renders the same tree.
| Field | Type | Required | Default | Constraints | Example |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
certificate_id The certificate id, which a request emits as 'certificate_ids[0]' once issued. | string | Yes | — | — | df7a8100-64c3-11eb-bcda-99e9056552b5 |
format How to encode the certificate; PEM is text, DER and PKCS#7 are binary. | string | No | — | one of "PEM", "DER", "PKCS7" | PEM |
chain_order How much of the chain to include; Venafi defaults to ROOT_FIRST. | string | No | — | one of "ROOT_FIRST", "EE_FIRST", "EE_ONLY" | ROOT_FIRST |
Example configuration
Every value below is the contract’s own example or default — nothing invented.
{
"certificate_id": "df7a8100-64c3-11eb-bcda-99e9056552b5",
"chain_order": "ROOT_FIRST",
"format": "PEM"
}Output
One shape.

"certificate_id": "",
"chain_order": "",
"content": "",
"content_base64": "",

- The body is a certificate, not JSON: PEM also comes back verbatim in 'content', and every format is available base64-encoded in 'content_base64'.
