ts The ts of the thread's parent message, or of any message in it. | string | Yes | — | — | — |

}Output

messages[].user The author's user id, or its bot id for an app message. | string | — |

count How many messages this page carries. | number | — |
has_more True when Slack has further pages of this thread. | boolean | — |
next_cursor Cursor for the next page, or empty when done. | string | — |
{
"count": 0,
"has_more": false,
"messages": [
{
"text": "",
"thread_ts": "",
"ts": "",
"type": "",
"user": ""
}
],
"next_cursor": ""
}Notes
- The bot must be a member of a private channel before it can act there (Slack answers not_in_channel otherwise).
- Slack rate-limits each Web API method on its own tier; a throttled call fails with the number of seconds to wait and is safe for the node's retry policy to repeat.
- The first message is the thread parent, so a reply count is count - 1.
Templates that use Slack
See Get Thread Replies run in a workflow.
In a technical demo we add the Slack connection, drop the node on the canvas and let Workflow Health pre-flight it before the first real run.
