Render Table Image

quickchart.render_table
ActionBusiness appsconnection required

Calls the QuickChart API with the connection's credentials.

Render a table of rows and columns as a PNG and emit it as a base64 file blob, for a report or a chat message that cannot show HTML.

Connection

Required
Yes — the node will not save without one
Auth type
API key
Providers
QuickChart
Secret shape
the API key, or {"api_key": "…"} — optional, since QuickChart's free tier and a self-hosted instance need none
Config it needs
base_url
Resolved by
config.connection_id, else node.connection_id

Configuration

3 fields, 1 required. A dotted path is a nested object and name[] an array of objects — the editor renders the same tree.

FieldTypeRequiredDefaultConstraintsExample
data
The table definition: a 'title', a 'columns' array of {title, dataIndex} entries, and a 'dataSource' array of row objects keyed by those dataIndex values.
objectYes—≥ 1 characters{"columns":[{"dataIndex":"customer","title":"Customer"},{"align":"right","dataIndex":"amount","title":"Amount"}],"dataSource":[{"amount":"1,200.00","customer":"Acme"}],"title":"Open invoices"}
options
Styling overrides such as cellWidth, cellHeight, fontFamily, backgroundColor and the padding values.
objectNo——{"backgroundColor":"#ffffff","cellWidth":120}
filename
Name to give the rendered file on the wire. Defaults to the node's subject and the chosen format, such as chart.png.
stringNo——chart.png

Example configuration

Every value below is the contract’s own example or default — nothing invented.

Notes

  • The table renderer lives on QuickChart's hosted API host (api.quickchart.io/v1/table) and is not part of the open-source server, so this node ignores the connection's base_url.

See Render Table Image run in a workflow.

In a technical demo we add the QuickChart connection, drop the node on the canvas and let Workflow Health pre-flight it before the first real run.
