Configuration
4 fields, 2 required. A dotted path is a nested object and name[] an array of objects — the editor renders the same tree.
| Field | Type | Required | Default | Constraints | Example |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
model Technical name of the Odoo model to act on, such as 'res.partner' or 'sale.order'. | string | Yes | — | — | res.partner |
method Name of the method to call on the model, such as 'action_confirm'. | string | Yes | — | — | action_confirm |
args Positional arguments, as a JSON array. Most record methods take the id list first, e.g. [[42]]. | array | No | — | — | [[42]] |
kwargs Keyword arguments, as a JSON object. | object | No | — | — | {"context":{"lang":"en_US"}} |
Example configuration
Every value below is the contract’s own example or default — nothing invented.
{
"args": [

]
],
"kwargs": {
"context": {
"lang": "en_US"
}
},
"method": "action_confirm",
"model": "res.partner"
}Output
One shape.
result
| Field | Type | Example |
|---|---|---|
result Whatever the method returned, unshaped. | any | — |
model The model the call was made against. | string | — |
method The method that was called. | string | — |
{
"method": "",
"model": "",
"result": null
}Notes
- Odoo refuses any method whose name starts with an underscore over RPC, and so does this node before the request is built.
See Call Model Method run in a workflow.
In a technical demo we add the Odoo connection, drop the node on the canvas and let Workflow Health pre-flight it before the first real run.
