List Organizations

linkedin.list_organizations
ActionChat & messagingconnection required

Calls the LinkedIn API with the connection's credentials.

The LinkedIn pages the connection's member holds a role on — how a workflow finds an organization URN it is allowed to post as.

Connection

Required
Yes — the node will not save without one
Auth type
Bearer token
Providers
LinkedIn
Secret shape

Configuration

4 fields, none required. A dotted path is a nested object and name[] an array of objects — the editor renders the same tree.

FieldTypeRequiredDefaultConstraintsExample
role
Only pages where the member holds this role. ADMINISTRATOR, CONTENT_ADMINISTRATOR and DIRECT_SPONSORED_CONTENT_POSTER may post as the page; the others may not.
stringNoADMINISTRATORone of "ADMINISTRATOR", "CONTENT_ADMINISTRATOR", "DIRECT_SPONSORED_CONTENT_POSTER", "RECRUITING_POSTER", "LEAD_CAPTURE_ADMINISTRATOR", "LEAD_GEN_FORMS_MANAGER", "ANALYST", "CURATOR"—
state
Only roles in this state. Only APPROVED roles can act on a page.
stringNoAPPROVEDone of "APPROVED", "REQUESTED", "REJECTED", "REVOKED"—
count
How many rows to return on this page. LinkedIn caps it at 100.
numberNo101–100—
start
Index of the first row to return. To page on, feed the previous step's next_start back in — not its count, which is only how many rows that page happened to hold.
numberNo00–100000—

Example configuration

Every value below is the contract’s own example or default — nothing invented.

{
  "count": 10,
  "role": "ADMINISTRATOR",
  "start": 0,
  "state": "APPROVED"
}

Output

One shape.

FieldTypeExample
organizations[].organization
urn:li:organization:{id} — pass this as author_urn or owner_urn.
string—
organizations[].role
The role the member holds on the page.
string—
organizations[].state
APPROVED, REQUESTED, REJECTED or REVOKED.
string—
organizations[].role_assignee
The person URN holding the role.
string—
count
How many rows this page actually returned.
number—
start
The index this page started at.
number—
next_start
The 'start' for the next page — this page's start plus the requested count. Pass it back in as start; stop when a page returns no rows.
number—
{
  "count": 0,
  "next_start": 0,
  "organizations": [
    {
      "organization": "",
      "role": "",
      "role_assignee": "",
      "state": ""
    }
  ],
  "start": 0
}

Notes

  • Needs the rw_organization_admin or r_organization_admin scope; a token with only posting scopes gets a 403 here.
  • LinkedIn may return fewer rows than 'count' and still have more pages, so page on with next_start until a page comes back empty — a short page is not the end.

See List Organizations run in a workflow.

In a technical demo we add the LinkedIn connection, drop the node on the canvas and let Workflow Health pre-flight it before the first real run.
