Bulk Publish

contentful.bulk_publish
ActionBusiness appsconnection required

Calls the Contentful API with the connection's credentials.

Queue a bulk publish of many entries or assets and return the job id and status rather than a verdict.

Connection

Required
Yes — the node will not save without one
Auth type
Bearer token
Providers
Contentful
Secret shape
the CMA access token, or {"access_token": "…"}
Config it needs
space_id, environment_id, base_url
Resolved by
config.connection_id, else node.connection_id

Configuration

4 fields, 1 required. A dotted path is a nested object and name[] an array of objects — the editor renders the same tree.

FieldTypeRequiredDefaultConstraintsExample

The entry or asset ids to publish, as a JSON array or a comma-separated list.
arrayYes—≥ 1 characters; array of string—
entity_type
Whether the ids name entries or assets.
stringNoEntryone of "Entry", "Asset"—
space_id
The space to act on. Leave blank to use the connection's space.
stringNo———
environment_id
The environment to act on. Leave blank to use the connection's environment, or 'master'.
stringNo———

Example configuration

Every value below is the contract’s own example or default — nothing invented.

{
  "entity_type": "Entry"
}

Output

False while the job is still created or inProgress.
boolean—
succeeded
True only once the job reached the succeeded state.
boolean—

object—

array—
entity_count
How many entities the job covers.
number—
space_id
The space the job runs in.
string—
environment_id
The environment the job runs in.
string—
{
  "action": "",
  "bulk_action_id": "",
  "completed": false,
  "entity_count": 0,
  "entity_ids": [],
  "environment_id": "",
  "error": {},
  "space_id": "",
  "status": "",
  "succeeded": false
}

Notes

  • Publishing links each entity at a version, so this node reads each id's current sys.version first — one extra GET per id.
  • The job is queued, not finished: poll contentful.get_bulk_action until 'completed' is true, then read 'succeeded' and 'error'.

See Bulk Publish run in a workflow.

In a technical demo we add the Contentful connection, drop the node on the canvas and let Workflow Health pre-flight it before the first real run.
